One of my favourite rituals of the Festive Season, is pulling out the tub of Christmas decorations in late-November and unpacking all the glittery, bauble-y goodness.
In January, as I packed all the decorations away, I mentioned to my husband that we may need to re-stock on baubles this Christmas. Our collection had been decimated by the cat/ dog/ toddler/ clumsy, bauble-smashing mum.
Enter my Christmas Angel, Anna from Christmas Kingdom, an online one-stop shop filled with festive goodies.
She asked if I’d like to review the site. Best of all, Anna offered me a $50 voucher to give to an Oh Creative Day reader to spend at Christmas Kingdom.
Yay for Christmas cheer!
Anna also generously provided me with a $50 voucher.
So I put on my comfiest pyjamas, put the kids to bed and went Christmas shopping.
This was probably my favourite part because how hard is it to get out of the house with kids?!
(Plus I didn’t have to brush my hair or put any effort into looking presentable. Why is it that you always run into people you know at the shops where you are looking least presentable?)
I had to clear my busy TV-watching schedule to visit the Christmas Kingdom website.
Their range is huge. It took me an hour of browsing before I finalised my purchases.
Want to have a look in my shopping basket?
Here you go!
I ended up with 5 packs of baubles, adding about 60 baubles to our collection.
Lots of styles and designs to choose from, and a lot of the packs are heavily discounted.
In the above picture are a selection of baubles from this pack, this one and this one.
Each year we make our own tree.
So I won’t be using all these baubles for tree decorations.
I have the following crafty ideas in mind.
We need a new wreath for the front door. So I’d like to use these……
The little gold baubles can be found here. The sequinned red baubles are here.
to make something like this….

The main challenge I found in online bauble shopping is that I am really terrible at guess-timating the size of things.
So I actually didn’t realise those gold baubles were going to be so small. I should have really paid more attention in Maths class.
I’m also going to use some of the baubles to create a hanging decoration inspired by this…
I chose some cookie cutters- a tree, reindeer and angel.
This Christmas we will be making a huge batch of play dough and gifting it, with some fun cookie cutters, to all our little friends.
I chose that lovely reindeer ribbon and started thinking about Christmas gift wrapping.
Because priorities.
So five packs of baubles, three cookie cutters and 3 metres of ribbon came to $56.35.
Delivery was via courier and cost an extra $20. Everything arrived bubble-wrapped and intact.
Christmas Kingdom also operate a rewards point system which allow you to receive further discounts off future purchases.
Let the decorating begin!
This competition is now closed. Congratulations to Jo!

My favourite Christmas tradition is laying my old Santa sack out in front of mum and dad’s Christmas tree. I know it’s never as full as it used to be, and may look a little sad laying there quite limp. But it brings back LOTS of memories of being a kid at Christmas xx
I LOVE that you still have your childhood Santa sack!
We still have advent calendars even though we’re 43 and 44 respectively. We’ve got cloth calendars (so environmentally friendly) with little pockets. We have a reindeer and a snowman and take turns to swap every year. I get old every year, but waking up and looking in your advent calendar, that never gets old!
I love that you take turns and do swapsies. I spend my entire life trying to teach kids about taking turns. And extra points for being environmentally friendly!
OK. So BEST. IDEA. EVER. to gift playdoh. Gosh, you’ve just taken a massive weight off my shoulders, as I frantically try to think of gifts for the billion kids in our lives. Time is running out before we fly to Scotland, and I just can’t seem to get everything done. BUT THIS IS PERFECT. You rock, sista!
You’re so welcome. I’ve never met a kid that did not like play dough (although I could be wrong!) I’m getting jealous thinking of you eating ALL OF THE SHORTBREAD IN SCOTLAND!
