In last week’s Meander, I raved about Elizabeth Gilbert’s article on creative living.
The lovely Shannon pointed me in the direction of this video where Elizabeth discusses further the relationship between creativity and fear. I haven’t had a chance to watch it in full (my kids are playing nap-tag these days.)
I’ve watched about 6 minutes of it, but can already tell it’s a goody. (Any tips on getting 2 kids to sleep AT THE SAME TIME would also be appreciated.)
Dr Sash just popped out her third baby, but she still finds the time to put together hilarious posts like this one.
Are you a flapper? A roller? Or an avoider? I honestly think I’m a combo of all three.
Do you do imaginary online shopping? Putting items in your cart and then never checking out?
I just spent 26 minutes ogling over Sammie’s Jamberry nail wrap shop.
She’s giving a pair away! Imagine how much more efficient my life would be if I didn’t do imaginary online shopping?
Speaking of things that stick, I’m going to try and get some Reading Ninja stickers.
Because Reading is RAD!
I always knew Tash was a top chick.
Then she quoted a Jimmy Eats World song, and I fell in love with her just a little bit more.
Next weekend The Husband and I celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary.
Apparently the traditional gift is wood. Romantic, huh?
Any suggestions?
What’s the best gift you’ve ever given your Significant Other?
I’m linking up with the lovely ladies at The Annoyed Thyroid, Calm to Conniption,
A Little Part of the World and My2Morrows for their Ultimate Rabbit Hole link-up party.
Continue your meanderings with them!
Thanks for the shout out. Tash and Sash, two of my blogging favourites. I loved Tash’s post, especially the bit about Jimmy Eats World and as for the good doctor’s post, I’d like to think I’m a roller with flapper tendancies! As for the wedding anniversary, I cheat a bit… if I think the traditional gift is too hard, I go for the modern alternative instead! It’s silver for year five, if that makes things any easier?!
I had a flash of genius this afternoon and I think I have saved the anniversary present conundrum. Wooo! (I shall keep your traditional v modern alternative idea up my sleeve though, you clever lady!)
Oh thank you lovely lady! It was so cool to discover many of my bloggy pals are Jimmy Eat World fans. I think that particular song I quoted touched a lot of people back in the day! As always, loving your Monday Meanders xx
