Taj MahalI may have been a chain-mail addict as a kid.
(I was always paranoid about being that person that broke the chain.)
And back in my high school days, I loved answering any kind of questionnaire thingamajig.
(We can blame Cosmo and Cleo for that addiction.)

So when the lovely Sammie nominated me for a Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, I may have rubbed my hands together in glee.
The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award recognizes the unique voices of women bloggers around the world.

Sammie has given me the following 10 questions to answer.
I then come up with 10 questions to pass onto other bloggers.

Let’s do this!

1. Savoury or sweet?
Ummmm- have you seen my Instagram feed?
I will ALWAYS choose sweet over savoury. ALWAYS.

sweet treats

2. My food nemesis is tofu. What’s yours?
Runny egg yolk. Hello heebie-jeebies.

3. What’s your speciality a la maison?
I do this randomly delicious chicken and corn lasagna.
Or kid-friendly pikelets when I’m trying to coax The Toddler out of only eating blueberries.

4. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Chocolate. Preferably Haighs. (Refer to question #1.)

5. If you could have dinner with a famous person, who would it be and where would you go?
It’d be Dave Grohl. And we’d have dumplings. Probably at Din Tai Fung.
Dumplings with Dave. Sounds like the name for the next Foo Fighters album.
You heard it here first.

6. What dish would you make if you were auditioning for Masterchef?
Strawberry RhubApple Crumble.

Strawberry RhubApple Crumble7. What’s the best restaurant you’ve ever been to?
Tetsuya’s for my 1st wedding anniversary was insanely epic.
I had the most amazing souffle at Guillaume’s at Bennelong, the restaurant inside the Sydney Opera House.

Whilst living in Modena, the home of balsamic vinegar, I went to a restaurant that specialised in the black gold.
Vanilla ice cream and balsamic, anyone? (It was so good!)

I had the most amazing squid risotto at a restaurant tucked away in a back alley in Hvar, Croatia.
I went to a sensational Peking Duck restaurant in Beijing…

Oh wait- was I only meant to choose one??

8. What’s the best holiday you’ve ever had?Cook Islands
Honeymooning in the Cook Islands was ridiculously romantic and relaxing.
Japan remains one of my favourite travel destinations.
Experiencing a friend’s wedding in India was unforgettable.

India

Oh again- was I only meant to choose one??

9. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
As the mother of 2 kids under 2, I don’t even know anymore.
Night seems to blend into morning and vice versa.

kiddies

10. What’s one thing you would never do or never eat?
I have attempted to go sky-diving 3 times in 3 different places.
Each time, the trip was cancelled due to bad conditions.
I think this is a sign that I should never, ever jump out of a perfectly good plane.

On the food front, I will never ever again eat natto.
I tried it in Tokyo- fermented soybeans.
Smelly and slimy. Enough said.

And here are my hard-hitting questions:
When I grow up I want to be….
Why did you start blogging?
What’s your favourite blog post you’ve written?
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Do you have a random claim to fame?
What was the first concert you ever went to?
What was your favourite book as a kid?
Describe your perfect day.
What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
My guilty pleasure is….

I’m tagging these super-lovely online ladies (I’m fairly certain they exist offline too)
Sarah from The Routine Queen
Tash from Gift Grapevine
and Gabbie of MotherLoad
Be sure to pop by and check out their responses
xx

Were you a chain-mail/questionnaire fiend growing up?

I’d love to hear some of your answers to my questions…. GO!
